Radio & fascia panel

Testfit of the paper panel...

taking note where the pre current hole's are

Tested the old radio & it works! We just have to clean her up & make new buttons!

Hardtop cleanup for sandblasting

Cleanup & demount.

Taking note's how it's mounted...

Megajolt ignition

So a while ago i found a used megajolt ignition system for sale (300€)
It's a lot of money but if you count how much i would spend on a new delco and still had to redo the entire wiring it's worth it!

Now i have the ford EDIS and coil pack & megajolt lite running 4.0 software.

Still have to find and fiesta for the crank sensor & trigger wheel.

New fascia panel

So i really like the woodn fascia panel but the one from moss is a bit to expensive....
And my black plastic one is cracked and beyond decent repair...

So i was measuring how i would fit the gauges in my car.
While wanting a wooden panel instead of the original plastic one.
I would like to have one with a old radio instead of the heater switches:

Also the oil & water must be in direct sight.
Also the vacuum gauge on the left.
Fuel and clock are usefull for the co driver.

Car jumble parts!

Found a old VDO clock gauge for the spitfire.

And a 12 way fuse box instead of the 3 way original fuse box!

Fuel tank brackets!

Made some brackets to mount the fuel tank

Bolts on the same points as the original fuel tank

+- 3° angle so the fuel will flow to the lowest point (fuel tap)
Yes the bolts are a bit to long. Will look for shorter one's!

Pedal to the metal!

Final testfit of the pedals & steering rack

the hole for the steering needs to be a bit bigger

nice fit of the brackets!
