Timing chain

Stripping it down! I just removed the timing chain cover to inspect the setup. Next up is checking the exact amount of shims behind and in front of the sprockets to ensure proper alignment. Looking closely at the gears and the chain, it's pretty clear they will likely need to be replaced—along with a whole bunch of other parts. The rebuild journey continues!

Oil pump

 

Inspected the oil pump for wear. But looks like it is in the specs of the manual. Everything looks ok so little work to do on it. Cleaning and put it in a box waiting for the rest :-)

Cilinder head

Cleaned the head multiple times, Every oil / water channel cleaned as mutch as possible.

Checked the head for bend or cracks. So far no problems.

 After lapping the valves i did a leak test and they look good :-)

First time with a spray can. I hope the results are ok...
